Jostens taking more orders December 12th

Jostens will be in the HS cafeteria during lunch on Thursday, December 12, to take any additional announcement and cap and gown orders.

Cap and gown ordering

Seniors order their caps and gowns from Jostens - they have taken orders at the high school and will be at the Knox County Career Center to take orders on December 5th.  The cost is $20.00, which includes a cap, gown and tassel.  If you did not order yours, there is still time - just give your height and weight and $20.00 to Mrs. Reynolds in the high school office and we will get one ordered for you! If you write a check, please make it payable to Jostens.

Now Class of 2014 blog

We are going to continue with the senior class blogspot, but please be sure you are reading information for the Class of 2014 (you can check the date of the posting right above the article title). The previous class information will remain on this blog and some of it will be the same year after year, however, there may also be some changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail me @ sue.reynolds@centerburgschools.org and I will help you!

If this is your first time checking out this blog.... we developed this specifically for the senior class so that parents and community members would know what is happening during their senior year in high school. It will also tell you when all events will be taking place, including deadlines for getting things done and when special events will occur!

Reminders

Baccalaureate is Friday, May 31, at 7:00 PM, in the high school auditorium.

Graduation is Saturday, June 1, at 1:30 PM - meet Mr. Gallwitz in the auditorium at 12:30 PM. DON'T FORGET YOUR CAPS AND GOWNS!

 

Senior activities this week

This week's senior activities include:
Friday, May 24, 8:30, Senior breakfast @ Centerburg Church of Christ;
Friday, May 24, 10:00, mandatory graduation practice at the high school;
Friday, May 24, 12:00, cap and gown pictures at the high school.

Tickets for graduation

Each senior will receive four(4) reserved seat tickets for gym floor seats. Please pick them up anytime now from the office! The bleacher seats and also the seats in the balcony are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Again, graduation tickets can be picked up in the office now!

Caps and gowns are available in the office - be sure they are paid for before you pick them up.

Caps and gowns were passed out at the career center today - if you were absent, please stop by the high school office and pick them up!

Seating for graduation

Each senior will receive four (4) seats on the floor for graduation. If you have a family member that needs any special assistance with seating, please let Mrs. Reynolds know so that arrangements can be made. Your tickets will be distributed in a few weeks.

Kings Island trip canceled

Our trip planned for Kings Island has been canceled. If you paid to go, refunds are available in the office.

DON'T FORGET - FORMS DUE FRIDAY!

The forms requesting from whom you wish to receive your diploma are due FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH!!

Permission slips and ticket money for Kings Island are also due FRIDAY, at the latest on TUESDAY, April 23rd!

Not going to New York City?

Seniors not going to New York City have the option of going to Kings Island Amusement Park on Friday, May 3rd. The cost of the ticket is $29.00. Permission slips and $29.00 must be turned into Mrs. Walpole by Tuesday, April 23, AT THE VERY LATEST. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Walpole.

Something new this year!

The Class of 2013 will be given the option to choose from whom they wish to receive their diploma. It can be any current full-time employee in good standing of the Centerburg School District or any current full-time teacher in good standing at the Knox County Career Center. This does not include coaches that are not on staff full time, retirees or employees that only work a few months during the school year. The seniors were given forms on Tuesday to complete to list their top three choices. These forms MUST be returned by Friday, April 19th. If the senior does not return their form by this deadline, the President of the School Board will present his/her diploma.

Announcements are in!

If you ordered announcements from Jostens, they are in! They must be paid in full before you pick them up. Please check in the office!

Check your name for your diploma!

If you have NOT checked the spelling for your diploma, please do it as soon as possible. Please check it by April 12th, as we are placing the order April 15th!

Reminders....

If you have two sets of parents and want to present both mothers with a rose at graduation, please let Mrs. Reynolds know as soon as possible so that extras may be ordered.

Each graduate will receive four(4) reserved seat tickets to sit on the gym floor during graduation (these tickets will be passed out in May). All other seating is first come/first served in the bleachers and mezzanine.

PLEASE dress up for your Senior Awards Program and for your graduation day! No jeans, no shorts, no sneakers, no flip flops, no hats, no sunglasses! Guys are asked to wear a shirt and tie/dress shoes; ladies are asked to wear dress shoes whether with a dress or slacks.

TO DO LIST:

Any suggestions for class song or parent song - tell your class officers - Silas Beals, Lindsey Daniels, Caitlyn Hause and Lindsay Mapes.

Caps and gowns have been ordered for each graduate (cost to each student is $20.00) - they will be passed out in May - if you have not paid for yours, please see Mrs. Reynolds as soon as possible.

Announcements have been ordered - please listen to morning announcements to know when to pick them up. Remember - if you have an outstanding balance, it must be paid in full before you pick them up!

Pictures needed for Senior Slideshow

It’s that time of year again!  We are about to start putting our slideshow together, to show during the senior breakfast.  If you don’t know what it is, it's a slideshow of your journey through life so far, with pictures of you from infancy through this year.

Here’s what we need:

1. A favorite senior picture (this will be used for the yearbook as well);
2. 10 pictures of you growing up (variety of ages);
3. Song recommendations for the slideshow.

To guarantee that you are in the slideshow, you must turn in everything by April 10^th.  Be sure to put your name on the back of the pictures and put them in an envelope with your name on it.  If we do not have your pictures by April 10^th, you will not be included.  Also, please turn in your song list as soon as possible.  PLEASE TURN IN EVERYTHING TO MRS. WALPOLE, KAYLEY JAYJOHN OR MICHAELA PARKER.  Thank you!
